It's been such an incredible week! It feels like we've been back to school for months, though it's only been 1 single week. So many things've already happened; I've got to know some new people and am totally sleep-deprived. I always try to go to bed a bit earlier, but then it's never before half 11 that I can go to sleep. Also I'm one of those unlucky ones who have to be at school for 8 every single day, so that I have to leave my house at 10 past 7 every morning. Sometimes I get back at 5:45pm; basically, we don't have a life anymore. I have to think about whether to take singing/dancing lessons or not; since I'm still passionate about those things I'd love to do them, but then I really can't afford to lose track of school.
I hate how some truly clever people who know everything are in some of my lessons; I always feel so stupid next to them and I can't even do anything about that. Seriously annoying.
I've just got back home; we went to Lustgarten to watch the rain of poems; that is, a helicopter flying above the garden throwing little paper stripes with poems written on them down to the crowd. People were kinda fighting for them, so it was real fun trying to catch them, especially since the wind was taking part in this little game, making it even harder, or as you can say, funnier. It made me so happy seeing all those people standing there watching the spectacle, every one of them wearing a genuine smile on their face. I got pretty excited when I caught my first stripe :)
Afterwards, we watched some artists performing at Breidscheidtplatz at Kudamm. Their shows attracted huge crowds and you could tell people were enjoying themselves. In the end, a guy asked for the microphone and proposed to his girlfriend. He spoke in a foreign language, but kneeled down so everyone knew what was going on. I was truly moved and even had tears in my eyes. That was by far the sweetest thing I've seen in a long time. May they be happily together for the rest of their life!
And once again, I can only say: Berlin's amazing.
