It's been such a great last week of summer holidays!
I finally watched Inception which is just a brilliant and highly recommendable film. The storyline is amazing and I still can't get over it how a person, in this case Christopher Nolan, can have such great imagination. Though, to be honest, I didn't really understand the beginning and me and my friends found the ending quite confusing, too (does the totem carry on spinning or not!?).
But despite that this film is definitely one of the best films I've ever seen!
(Joseph Gordon-Levitt & Tom Hardy are hotttt :>)
Wednesday evening, B and I were meant to meet up with N, D and co at the club Mbia, but unfortunately those guys had to queue up for ages (like we did last week) and in the end they couldn't get in. So it was only B and me, but we still had a good time :) I quite fancied the DJ haha.
The next evening, B and T picked me up from my house and we attended a party at Beach at the Box; it was absolutely lovely sitting outdoors in sunbeds next to the Spree. And since we had some good orange juice before and some other stuff there we were accordingly happy :) Later, it got pretty chilly, so we went inside the Box; the floors were packed (!) but the music fab! On one floor more recent music was played, and on the other one it was all House & Electro. The DJs did a great job, everyone was dancing and having a brilliant time :)
Yesterday, A, T and I met up at B's house to cook a meal. Firstly, we went up to their roof and through some cooking books to decide what we wanted to cook. We hadn't been able to come to an agreement for ages... but then it was time to go shopping. It felt like we spent hours inside the supermarket, running around looking for things and then sorting out all that stuff that was too expensive. In the end we came to (only) 20 €, which was surprisingly cheap for that we had bought groceries for 3 courses. Back home the big cooking started; we split up into 'teams': A and T were mainly responsible for the starter, B and I for the main dish and we made pudding together. B and I wanted to make pasta ourselves; it looked really easy in the book but B had to knead the dough for nearly an hour (!) before we could carry on... A & T made some chicken spit with peanut sauce and baguette which was really nice but looked a bit ...weird ;) Our pasta didn't look that appetising, too; part of it stuck together to big lumps but having served it with a rucola-tomato-pine-nut-sauce it was rather agreeable. At least B and T enjoyed the course! Also we politely left some leftovers for B's dad/family... ;) As pudding we had a lovely blueberry junket which we ate while sitting on the terrasse, watching the twilight taking over the sky.
Absolutely beautiful :)
Later though, B told me that he had been cleaning the kitchen for ages after we had gone.. I truly feel sorry for that. Next time, and I'm sure there will be a next time, we'll thoroughly clean up the kitchen together.
