farewell. once again

Today Helena left. I just called her and she got back safely :) Her flight was a bit delayed but everything else was fine. She even got a row for herself because the plane was so empty!

We didn't really do much today. Got up a bit earlier this morning because it was said that the water will be turned off from 10-12 o'clock and we both wanted to have a shower in the morning. After having breakfast we played Singstar on the Playstation 2 and then Harry Potter. I always get a bit scared when I play games like Harry Potter where you have to find ways out of random rooms or have to look for stuff and fight against weird monsters. So I let her play today - she was really good! But is there anything else to expect from a girl who's like a master of Call of Duty? Then we had some lunch and sorted her suitcase out. After that we finally went out and had a look around the shopping centre just next to my house. I found a really nice jacket at Vero Moda; Helena thinks it looks nice on me, too, so I'll probably show it to my mum and see if she likes it as well :) also we desperately looked everywhere for a Cristiano Ronaldo poster but still couldn't find one. Hmm. (edit: she found one at the airport!)

Later, we walked down to Mauerpark to just sit down and relax a little. It was such a nice and sunny day today! We sat down at the theatre where a ginger-haired guy asked us to complete a survey. If we did that, we would get a surprise out of his mysterious black bag. So I completed the survey which was asking about my reading habits, i.e. which papers/magazines I read daily and stuff like that. The guy was just sitting next to me and making smalltalk, he was really nice and looked kinda British (ginger hair, blue eyes, pale skin); smoked a joint and talked about how sad it is that people stick to papers like Bild; we talked about the piano (awesome) and he said that only the black keys would make a sound; and he liked that I read the Neon. After completing the survey he asked me what I'd like to have out of his bag: an umbrella, a bag, a McDonald's voucher or a pen. In the end I got an umbrella :) Then he said that he has to find 25 people in 5 hours to complete the survey, but his team is really annoying him (2 girls) and they spent the noon eating at McDonald's using their vouchers ;) haha, funny guy. Helena and I went down the theatre to check on the piano and the guy was right: only the black keys made a sound; the piano looks really cool down there. How weird can someone be to place a piano right there?! Then it was time to get home; Helena gave my parents a few nice little thank-you-presents and then we each got an ice-cream and went to the airport. Their the counter for online-check-in-people was empty, but the queue to go through security was HUGE. It was really sad to say goodbye and we hugged each other twice before she went through. Ohh, miss her already! But I'm sure I'll get to see her again very soon. I might go down to London/Tunbridge Wells during half term? Hmmm. Have to think about that :)

During those 4 days we went to Reichstag (and up the dome) & sat at the meadow in front of it; saw the Brandenburger Gate, the Jewish Monument, the Central Station (Hauptbahnhof), Gendarmenmarkt (stairs :>), Friedrichstraße, Kudamm, Alexa, Alexanderplatz, Museum Island, went up the TV Tower, sat by the fountains underneath it (Kyle/Carl/Tim. Piercing; waving; 'cycling'; bmx. hihi ;>), went to Potsdamer Platz, Oranienburger Straße, walked down Unter den Linden, saw Berlin by night... and more?! I can't remember. Oh and she got her family lots of chocolate from Hussel, and they all liked them (Original English Fudge, Sweet Mouse, Mobile, Lipstick, Flakes). Helena said she likes Berlin a lot (even got a I ♥ Berlin Shirt) and that she enjoyed being here.
So all in all we had a wonderful time together. It was just great having her here!

Helena and I on top of Reichstag (dome) ♥

I detest farewells.
