It's been ages!
I thought it was time for something new. Although I hadn't updated enjardin at all, I really wanted to keep it going. So now, here we go. I'll try and blog as much as I can... I might do a little diary-thing here and post stuff that I like or that is worth mentioning? Or pictures of days out with friends. Oh well, I don't know. Doesn't matter, really, as long as I'm posting something :)
My mum doesn't like the rose at the top. She says it's like: i love you. Meaning that all I'm talking about on here is love. Her opinion is bothering me a little bit but I actually like the header, so I'll keep it for now!
I've been back for almost 1 1/2 months now. Got back on June 19th and it was really, really weird. Trust me. Antony once said that after 1-2 weeks back at home in Berlin everything (=England) will seem like a distant memory to me. At that point I didn't believe him. But I have to say... it's weird thinking that I've actually been away for almost a year and that I'm back now. I'm home. I still miss everyone and everything in England, and I'm so glad that I went there and got to know so many lovely people with whom I'm keeping in touch with. So to you all: THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING. It's been an absolutely amazing year! I had such a great time with you guys and I'm so happy to have got to know you. Thank you so much.
And I can't wait to see you all again very soon.. Remember to tell me when your prom is, and I'll be there. Promise :)
I had exactly 6 days at home after coming back from England until I left to go to CROATIA with my tutor form. We went by bus and it was HIDEOUS! The journey was about 18 hours. Haha. Thanks to our lovely first bus driver who didn't want to turn on the air conditioner we were all dieing. I mean seriously. I couldn't sleep that well, it was boiling and we all felt rather dirty and sweaty. Euhh. Although the outward journey was horrible, our accomodation (moveable bungalows) was right next to the sea which was GOOOD. After all the trips during the day we could just grab our swimming stuff and jump into the water when we got back. The weather was brilliant and I think we all got tanned nicely. However some stupid things happened which caused even stupider arguments and yea, thus we barely got any proper sleep since we had to be up for breakfast early. But we did lots of nice things, like visiting the Brijuni Island and the cities Rovinj/Pula/Porec, and although we cut ourselves loads on the rocks deep down in the water, the sea was gorgeous. Oh, and our second bus driver Merhat is not to be forgotten, too! Even the journey back was good, we girls prepared ourselves well by taking tooth brushes and stuff like that with us onto the bus, so that we could 'get ready' before spending the night on the bus. We slept all night, until we finally arrived in Berlin at around 7 in the morning. In the end it was a wonderful trip to Croatia which we all enjoyed. And I'm sure we won't EVER forget it ;)
On the last schoolday we got our reports (well I didn't get mine but yea) and Anne, Tilman and I went to town to do some shopping for Tilli. He got very nice trousers from Ben Sherman :> It was a lovely day and we got a free bottle of beer from American Apparel (ok, from Berliner Kindl Weisse but we got it in the shop!). Anne and I met up a few times during the holidays and I finally saw her little sister Linn. She's gorgeous and soo cute :) We spent the days sitting at the Spree enjoying the sun and taking pictures. We met up with Basti too, and I finally got to see his new house which is just WOW! I love being back. It was like I was a tourist myself, seeing the Reichstag and Brandenburger Gate again after such a long time. And now I realise how much I missed Berlin and how much I adore this city. BERLIN'S THE PLACE TO BE. This Tuesday I met up with Basti to see "Knight and Day" at the cinema starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz. In my opinion it was a rather nice film even though the critics didn't think much of it. At some points June (Cameron Diaz) really made us laugh :) It's a good story with some action, lots of gun shooting and a cute ending. Me and Basti enjoyed it a lot. Afterwards we went to the Alexa shopping centre (he's never been there before) and ate something, sitting on the terrace. All in all it was a nice day and I'm looking forward to having him, Anne, Tilman and Carla back soooooooon. I LOVE SUMMER!
We went to France 3 weeks ago.. my parents, sister and I all enjoyed the holiday very much since the weather was nice and sunny and we could go swimming everyday while seeing lots of things relating to history. Since we visited both parts of the Normandy (Haute & Baisse) there was indeed lots of history to see. It is absolutely terrible what happened there, how so many people died. But it's good that all this is kept in mind so that it will never be forgotten. Which I think is very important. Things like this (or war in general!) should never happen again. We visited Le Havre, Etretat, Honfleur, Rouen, Caen, Saint-Malo (love it), Le Mont Saint-Michel (beautiful!), Avranches, Arromanches, Longes, Cap Ferre (or something like this) and Lille. I may have left out something, I can't remember everything to be honest! But I love France and am glad to say that my French is good to enough to ask where the supermarket is. Though I couldn't find the word for petrol station (which is une station). Oh dear. What a story. But all in all I'd love to go there some time again - the sea is beautiful and the people there are just too lovely :)
Oh, this Sunday Helena's coming so I'd better get started planning what to do with her and where to take her! I can't wait to see her. I'm so happy to have her here :D
Hope my English is still ok.. and a note to myself: write the letter to Sabrina.
That's it for now :)
lots of love. xxx
