The Holstee Manifesto

Last year happened so much.
Having finished school, I have simultaneously completed a journey of growing up, of self-discovery, which has determined more than half of my life so far. After the exams I was able to spend time on things I really cared for, traveling to numerous places, enjoying the freedom i suddenly had and wasn't used to at all. I had a great time with my friends, fell in love and ended up being happy as never before.
As I knew this feeling wouldn't last forever, I did my best to gather countless memories which would remind me of the most beautiful and perfect moments of this period of life.

No responsibility, pressure, expectations at all - just seizing every single day.

Now there has started a new part of life as I started going to university last autumn. Already I have got to know plenty of new people from different places with different backgrounds who are all very kind and really delightful.  Though it was not easy to get used to that kind of routine again at first, namely going to uni everyday attending lectures and seminars, all those lovely people around me make every day simply unique as you never know what will happen. Also, I am more than happy to be given the opportunity to study in Berlin and thus stay in the most wonderful city in the world which means really a lot to me. I am absolutely looking forward to what will happen in year 2013, to all the challenges, people, experiences and everything that is waiting to be discovered.

May all your wishes come true and all the best be with you!

Last week, my family and I spent 10 days in Rimini, Italy. We did stay at the beach almost every single day for a change, in contrast to what we usually do while on vacation, that is visiting various towns and places, getting insight into culture and lifestyle. The weather showed its sunny face 24/7, which cannot in any way be compared to the weather here in Berlin (rain, rain, rain). Heading back home, we stopped by Verona, the place where Romeo & Julia first kissed on that balcony. Verona is such a beautiful and also romantic town, with its medieval buildings, small alleys and classical balconies held in vintage style. I fell in love with the picturesque scenery the moment we arrived in its historic centre...
